By registering and posting in our forums you acknowledge and agree to abide by the following Community Standards and Terms of Service.

Welcome to our forums! TFG is a community for adults (ages 18 and older) and their friends. We hope you will enjoy, appreciate and support the standards we have set forth.

In brief:

1. This is the place to seek and share information in a positive, fun and friendly manner.

2. We decline to publish unacceptable content in any shape or form anywhere on our site.

3. Be nice or leave.

To our users: If you see any comments or behavior that directly go against our fun and friendly guidelines, please use the Notify HQ button located at the top right corner of each post. Please be sure to include what you found offensive or questionable in the post you are notifying on. One of our moderators will review the post as soon as possible.

The Community Standards

1. ETIQUETTE:
This is a moderated forum. Hostile behavior and flaming will not be tolerated under any circumstances and are expressly prohibited. Unacceptable interactions and behavior include but are not limited to:

Profanity - Please do not circumvent our word censors by deleting some characters                 and leaving others to convey a profanity in your post or user profile.
Name Calling
Racial slurs
Religious slurs
Posting any content that is overtly sexual / pornographic
Insults
Stalking another member
Lying or Exaggerating
Impersonating another person or organization
Members verbally ganging up on another member
Defamation
- Conflict Resolution: Please do not air grievances you have with any vendors, TFG or otherwise, in our forums. Remember that this is a public forum, anything you write will most likely get back to the person you are writing about. This being the case, we urge you not to say anything behind their back that you wouldn’t say to their face.

1. We encourage you to use a more positive form of conflict resolution by calmly speaking directly to the person you have a grievance with to resolve your differences. A good rule in life in general. If you are unhappy with someone: Publicly complaining about them or their company won’t rectify the situation. Nor does it give the person an opportunity to explain if there has been a misunderstanding. It also robs them of the opportunity to learn from their own mistakes if they don’t realize they may have accidentally offended or disappointed you.

2. If you have unsuccessfully attempted to reconcile any differences or diasppointments with a vendor and would like to use your experience to warn other brides-to-be please send us your story, the name
and contact information of the vendor or person involved and we may review, verify and consider your story for an upcoming column. No names will be used in such stories. Parties will be referred to as The Company and Client.

3. if you must specify a business by name in order to help protect another member from possibly hiring a professional you feel is unethical or unprofessional, we ask that you please do so using our private messaging system.

At our sole discretion any person(s) engaging in any etiquette violations in our forums or in our private messaging system should expect that their posts will be removed and the status of their account will be reviewed. Please be aware that TFG does have the ability to access users messaging accounts if we need to verify an infraction has occurred. When warranted we will regretfully temporarily suspend accounts, close accounts and permanently ban users from further participation in our forums.

2. Misunderstandings:
If you feel that someone has said something that has upset you please remember that the internet is often an imperfect medium that lacks the ability to convey emotions and facial expressions. This often leads to innocent comments being perceived to be hostile or mean spirited. Please give others the assumption of good faith. When possible private message them and, ask what they meant before responding/assuming the worst. If there is no mistaking that someone has posted something to engage you in a dispute, please do not respond to their post, but rather use the notify HQ button that looks like this at the top of each post and trust that we will remove any comments that violate our TOS and will contact the offender to remind them of our TOS. If they persist in negative behavior their account may be suspended and/or permanently closed.

3. Helpful Posting Tips:
a. Please do not post in all capital letters. Within forums all capitals represent yelling and is incredibly difficult to read. An occasional word posted in caps is acceptable. An entire post is not.

b. Instant Messaging and abbreviated chat speak beyond the standard terms is not prohibited but is discouraged. The whole point of the forums is about communication so to use modified language that many may not understand defeats the entire purpose of posting messages here.

Any posts that are written in any manner that make it difficult to interpret or understand will be removed as our moderators must be able to review all posts to enforce our TOS. This includes posting in languages other then English.

c. Tone in posts and messages can be a tricky thing but with a little common sense you should be able to differentiate the two. There are ways to say things nicely or in a condescending manner. Using an insulting tone will result in your post being deleted or edited, a warning from HQ, temporary or permanent suspension of your posting privileges or permanent removal from the site.

d. If a post is edited or deleted by a Moderator or HQ, no member shall repost the information or directly quote what was said in any subsequent posts. Doing so will result in a warning and may include a temporary or permanent suspension of your posting privileges.

e. Creating a new thread to continue an argument or debate from a thread that was closed is prohibited. If you are upset about either of these issues you need to contact HQ directly by phone or email and we will work to resolve the issue to your satisfaction to the best of our abilities. Keep in mind that in the end we will at our discretion state what the resolution will be but welcome the opportunity to hear your side of the issue and will, when warranted, use your comments when making final decisions regarding your use of our forums.

f. No illegal content of any type is allowed on our forums. Any and all illegal content brought to our attention will be reported to the proper authorities.

g. The spirit of our site and forums is about sharing information in a civil, fun and friendly manner. The site is not about negativity in any way shape or form. Any and all behavior contrary to our goal will be dealt with accordingly on a case by case basis.

4. Moderation:
When public disputes arise the Moderators or HQ may, but are not obligated to, become involved by removing or editing any posts that defy our community standards. Any questions should be directed to HQ by email and not brought up or disputed in the forums. We will do our best to work with each member to come to a quick and amicable resolution to any conflict. Any attempt to draw a conflict between another member or HQ into the public forums may result in your posting privileges being temporarily suspended or when warranted, your membership may be permanently revoked and you will be asked leave the site permanently.

To all of our users: If you see any comments or behavior that directly go against our guidelines, please use the Notify HQ button located at the top right corner of each post. Please be sure to include a comment about what you found offensive or questionable in the post you are notifying on. One of our moderators will review the post as soon as possible. If you find yourself in a conflict with another member we ask that you not respond in the forums but instead attempt to work things out by private messaging. If you receive a private message that does not follow our guidelines, please contact HQ for assistance.

5. If you receive a warning or communication from a Moderator or Headquarters:
Remember that you agreed to our TOS when you registered to participate in our forums. Any warning, suspension of services or termination of your account shall be adhered to as per this agreement. It is never acceptable for you to open a new account once your current account has been suspended or closed.

6. Private Messaging:
a. Is only allowed between two users in a friendly manner. Consequences for abuse will be dealt with the same as if the abuse was committed in the open forums. If at anytime you receive a request from another user NOT to contact them again, this request must be respected. We are aware that not all conflicts can or will be resolved in an amicable manner. That said we expect a level of maturity from all of our members not to further antagonize another member when a request for no further contact is made.

b. Advertisements and solicitations of any type are prohibited from the messaging system at all times. Please report any such communications you receive to Headquarters at once.

7.
Safety:
Remember that any personal information you post online is viewable to all. It is never acceptable for you to post any personal information about any person at any time. Any information already in the public domain by the person them self or credible news sources is allowed. Any other information is prohibited. We also ask you not to post or encourage others to post any private information online. We will remove any addresses, phone numbers, bank account numbers or any other information that is brought to our attention that we feel could compromise your or another's personal safety and/or financial security. Once you have developed friendships with other members you may, at your discretion choose to reveal such information through private messaging.

8. Solicitations:
Solicitations are not allowed on the Flirty Forums or in private messaging for any reason. This includes selling products or services and donation pleas. If you see solicitations of any type please use the notify button to alert a moderator and the post will be removed. The button looks like this:

9. Those who work in the Wedding Industry:
At this time our standards are that wedding professionals not affiliated with TFG may not post in our forums to give advice, criticze another professional or solicit clients.
