Married in October of 2007 Stacie was the quintessential Flirty Bride and used her own wedding as an opportunity to bring to life her vision of what a flirty bride is, and how much fun she should have, both planning her own wedding and at the wedding itself.

A one woman design studio, or as she calls herself, creative consultant, Stacie Tamaki is one busy girl. You can always see the latest she's been up to on her Fun and Flirty Blog.

Whether she's making custom bridal veils, tiaras, jewelry and cake toppers, or creating miniature origami cranes, her imagination knows few boundaries.

Her career in the bridal industry began 11 years ago. Her bridal, origami and custom dog costumes have been featured online and in newspapers, magazines, 4X on San Jose's, KNTV News Channel 11, HGTV , and the TODAY Show.

Dragonfly Name Cards
with a Twist!

I'll start with the twist. So you know how you go to a wedding and sometimes you don't know the people at your table and it takes about 15 minutes to warm up to each other? But by the end of the reception you're almost like long lost pals from high school?

In order to expedite this process we printed the name and a random fact or two about each guest on the BACK of their name card so that those sitting at their table could:

A. Remember their name
B. Have a conversation starting clue

For instance some of the tidbits were quite detailed as they named the persons occupation, favorite video game, hobby or where they met the bride or groom. The guests loved it! Some got creative and even wrote in more information by hand.

Now onto the ornament. I made 73 hand beaded dragonflies and attached them to each name card. Red for the men and fuchsia for the women. They actually doubled as the favors.

At the end of the night all but three guests had taken their cards home with them. The dragonflies were wired to the card so could be easily removed it anyone wanted to tie a ribbon or piece of fishing line to one to turn it into an ornament.

I helped make the name cards for my wedding, and it was a great way for me to learn the names of all my wife's friends and family, and also learn something about all of them.
