Married in October of 2007 Stacie was the quintessential Flirty Bride and used her own wedding as an opportunity to bring to life her vision of what a flirty bride is, and how much fun she should have, both planning her own wedding and at the wedding itself.

A one woman design studio, or as she calls herself, creative consultant, Stacie Tamaki is one busy girl. You can always see the latest she's been up to on her Fun and Flirty Blog.

Whether she's making custom bridal veils, tiaras, jewelry and cake toppers, or creating miniature origami cranes, her imagination knows few boundaries.

Her career in the bridal industry began 11 years ago. Her bridal, origami and custom dog costumes have been featured online and in newspapers, magazines, 4X on San Jose's, KNTV News Channel 11, HGTV , and the TODAY Show.

iPod Cake Ornaments

My new hubby is the Head of Macintosh Desktop Software for the iPod division at Apple Inc.

This motivated me to incorporate the ubiquitous iPod in our wedding. The only logical place to put it was on our wedding cake. LOL. We filled three of the new video Nanos with slide shows (as listed above) and let them play for the duration of the reception. What a hoot!

I would dare to say they were the first iPods ever to be used as cake ornaments!

I did find some clear plastic shields online, my sweetie ordered them and after they arrived I glued on Swarovski crystal flat back rhinestones around the border of each screen to give them a little "bling."

BRILLIANT! I love the way you personalized your wedding cake. As a cake designer I am constantly encouraging my clients to use their wedding cake as a canvas for personal expression. You guys definitely got it right, and I'm sure your guests enjoyed the video journey you provided, as well as their slice of cake!

Hi Catherine!

Just visited your website. Congratulations on your new retail shop! That's fabulous. If I ever come to Fort Worth I'll have to drop by for lunch and goodies.

Thanks for your comments about our wedding cake. It was very personal. I'll post a cake topper I once made for a client as our next idea... They "got it" spot on :D
