Married in October of 2007 Stacie was the quintessential Flirty Bride and used her own wedding as an opportunity to bring to life her vision of what a flirty bride is, and how much fun she should have, both planning her own wedding and at the wedding itself.

A one woman design studio, or as she calls herself, creative consultant, Stacie Tamaki is one busy girl. You can always see the latest she's been up to on her Fun and Flirty Blog.

Whether she's making custom bridal veils, tiaras, jewelry and cake toppers, or creating miniature origami cranes, her imagination knows few boundaries.

Her career in the bridal industry began 11 years ago. Her bridal, origami and custom dog costumes have been featured online and in newspapers, magazines, 4X on San Jose's, KNTV News Channel 11, HGTV , and the TODAY Show.

A Save The Date Magnet

I'm one of those lucky brides who had a fiance eager to help and be involved with the wedding plans.

One of the first projects I gave my sweetie was to go online and look into save the date cards. First I had to spend 3 weeks "helping" him to understand what they are and why we needed them. He was convinced that they are some "California" kind of thing that nobody else in the world uses. Finally he began researching and was instantly drawn to the idea of a save the date magnet, instead of a paper invitation.

His goal? That our guests will all keep thier magnets on their fridges for at least 30 years. LOL. Most have said they're keeping them forever.

So I got to work designing a custom illustration that looked like us, and our dog as he would be participating in our ceremony and reception. It was kind of like a family portrait minus our cat.

As many of you know the save the date and/or invitations begin to set the "tone" of your wedding. Ours was of course a little silly and "fun and flirty." What else could it be?
