Dan and Caroline Winata of Tinywater Photography love people. And by people I mean everyone. They love the quirky, eccentric, happy, in love, all ages, all shapes & sizes, all ethnicities and people of all religions. Peruse their blog and you'll see what I mean.

They are international photographers who delight their clients with personal attention and couture images that are intensely sublime, spirited and, imo, more then just a little magical.

Brides and Grooms nationwide seek them out to photograph their offbeat weddings. In fact, avant-garde photography for non-traditional weddings has kind of become their specialty. Read more...

Fun Ways to Photograph Wedding Bands

Share |

Candids are always great but staged photos can be great too. To really make an image your own might require some forethought and planning.

I have seen so many beautiful images of wedding rings on the wedding day. But I have to say of all the photos I've seen this one is my all time favorite: A cocktail styled wedding band image by Tinywater Photography.

San Francisco Bay Area wedding photographers Dan and Caroline Winata have a style that is truly unique. Their images range from off beat glam to utterly whimsical. One thing I'm certain of is that no matter what their bride and groom's style is, they will find a way to capture it perfectly.

You have to plan this kind of shot ahead unless you just happen to travel around with finger puppets in your pocket.

So sweet. A candy themed wedding ring shot.

A fun and unexpected way to use Wordle.com

I think the photo of your wedding bands is an enduring image, one you may frame and display in your home and include in your wedding album. So, why not give it a little consideration ahead of time and add some whimsy to this very traditional wedding imagery. And if you're a little bit modern and your sweetie is more traditional? The best part is you can ask your photographer to do both, modern and traditional pictures of your wedding rings to suit each of your tastes.
