My Brush with Hollywood: Last year I had a call from the tv show Heroes asking if I had an extra 1000 large origami cranes available. They needed them within 48 hours for a scene they were about to shoot. Sadly, I fold cranes as I need them so I couldn't help them. What a bummer. Did you see the episode where Hiro had a thousand cranes hanging from the ceiling of a restaurant? Those could have been my cranes. But they weren't. LOL

When Stacie says tiny cranes, she means "tiny" cranes. She began creating miniature origami cranes as a fine art form back in 1997. Her signature work are her teeny tiniest cranes that measure 3/8" to 3/4" high.

The crane is Stacie's favorite fold because they are a part of her heritage, her grandma from Japan taught her to make cranes as a small child, and because the crane represents longevity and world peace.
